Terms of Service
These terms describe the agreement between the parent or guardian using The Homeschool Compass and Inspire Guide Nurture.

Adult family accounts
You must be able to enter a binding agreement and must use the service as a parent, guardian, or authorized adult. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter and for keeping access to your email account secure.
The service
The Homeschool Compass provides planning, record-keeping, portfolio, household organization, and parent-directed AI tools. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the service while your Free or Plus family account remains in good standing.
Your family content
You retain responsibility for and control of the records and files you enter. You give us permission to process that content only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the service. You must have the right to upload any file you submit.
Homeschool records and AI
Requirements vary by state, province, and country. The planner and generated portfolio are organizational tools and are not a guarantee of legal compliance, accreditation, credit, or acceptance by an authority. Ask Compass provides editable suggestions and may make mistakes. Parents remain responsible for reviewing suggestions and for decisions affecting their family.
Memberships and renewal
Compass Free has no subscription charge and includes the allowance shown in the app. A family that voluntarily upgrades to Compass Plus is charged $60 for one year when Stripe Checkout is completed. Plus covers up to six children and automatically renews for $60 each year unless canceled. The amount charged, renewal date, and applicable taxes are shown before checkout.
Cancellation
You may cancel Plus through the Stripe-hosted billing portal. Cancellation stops future renewal and Plus normally continues through the current paid period. The account then returns to Free; saved family records remain available, although new AI questions or uploads may be limited by the Free allowance. Refund eligibility is described in our Refund Policy.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service, attempt to access another family’s records, interfere with security, upload malicious or unlawful material, scrape the service, resell access, or use Ask Compass to seek or produce harmful content. We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect families, the service, or legal rights.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the service reliable, but uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed. We may update features for security, usability, legal, or operational reasons. If a material change reduces a paid core feature, we will provide reasonable notice when practicable.
Disclaimers and responsibility
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available without warranties that it will meet every family’s requirements. Inspire Guide Nurture is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.
